** spoiler alert ** i cried, laugh...i was sad and angry, and happy...i read it in hours..(part because i don't have a life, whatever!!) didn't liked the *spoilers* Hardy part at the end..after all the suffering she had because of him, the time she spent thinking of him, and after their relationship, the end was a bit wrong for me, i felt she choose gage because of hardy's behavior - that was not like young hardy at all, people change sometimes, i guess. the all Churchill help thing annoyed me, i mean, i felt like everything she was able to accomplish apparently alone, was due Churchill help..not everything, but some significant parts.. overall, i loved the way the heroin grow up, and the writing is amazing...i heart you lisa!!!!!xoxoxoxo i usually don't "dig" historical romance, but i liked this so much (and the last one of the travis series too), i'm thinking of giving it a try...nevertheless i think we all would appreciate another contemporary book(S) hehe p.s. i'm portuguese, has my writing skills in english can show, i really loved the detail of lucy's mother being a portuguese..hehe..the proverbial part it's so true..i never realized that, but we tend to use them a lot, specially the older people..they always have great advice in proverb form to give you :)))
