The second book it the Twilight Saga. Bella and Edward are going strong after all the danger Edward put Bella through. After Bellas 18 birthday party goes wrong (Jasper was tempted to eat Bella) Edward is forced to get out of Forks and leave Bella alone because he couldnt stand to put her in danger anymore. But when he left her Victoria came to Forks trying to kill Bella. Instead of helping Bella, he just made everything worse. Bella became more distant from everyone and found herself staying home and without friends. This all changed until she started to hang out with Jacob Black. Jacob Black became her best friend and she started to feel the hole in her heart filling up. Though she starts doing dangers stuff when she realizes or thinks she hears Edwards voice when she put herself in danger. After a while she notices Jacob becoming distant from her and she realizes that he became a werewolf. so her bestfriend was a werewolf and the boy she still loved was a vampire. So after missing Edward she decides to jump off a cliff into water and doing so she almost got herslef killed, but Jacob saved her. Alice who can see the future thought Bella died and so did Edward. Edward said he couldnt live without Bella so he wanted to kill himself by persuading the Voultures(most powerful vampires) to kill him. Alice comes to Forks to make sure Bellas alive and takes Bella to Italy to stop Edward. Bella saves Edward on time and they go back to Forks where he promises Bella he will never leave her.
