** spoiler alert ** Finished the book this afternoon and yes, Smithback's murder was completely unnecessary. I don't see Nora Kelly as anything but a side character in future books. I'm FURIOUS that they killed him off. But, I loved the book. It kept me riveted and just a little scared. Zombiis (yes w/ 2 i's) can be a little frightening.

One of the most well-known names in inspirational fiction chick lit is Robin Jones Gunn, who writes the Sisterchicks novels. Start this series with the book Sisterchicks On The Loose. Another fun inspirational series which focuses on women and faith is the Sisterchicks series. This series offers humor, thoughtful faith, and plenty of world-travelling adventure. This is the first in the series.
