Okay, I'm not finished with this one yet; unfortunately I had started it too close to the release of Deathly Hallows. So far I like it, though occasionally it gets a little bogged down in technical, scientific stuff. We'll see where it goes, I guess...in a couple weeks!

I'm so embarassed to admit that I've never read this book. It's on my really, really long mental list.

I listened to the audio book version of Great Expectations both because Tolkounai was reading it, and because I've had a goal of periodically reading a classic that I didn't read in school. It was about 14 hours of listening both on longer drives and short trips, but I kind of missed having Pip as a companion when I finished it! It is a story of a poor boy who had both the ambition and eventually the opportunity to become a English "gentleman." I thought Dickens did a great job of developing his characters, and shed some insight on human nature and values clarification in the process! I just might do another Dickens novel if the library has one I can listen to!
