By far the most entertaining book I've read. And one that really makes me question my own life decisions. His thoughts and stories are very random so I would not suggest this for someone who depends on structure and flow.

Set on an indian reservation. Nonlinear narrative is interesting, but I consider this more a collection of short stories than a novel. Erdrich explores the way love and loss holds families together (or can divide them). It's also interesting how such a group of characters comes from three main ones.
