This is a wonderful, entertaining book, often funny, very provocative for the obvious link between the Prohibition of alcohol in America and the drug war now in its fourth decade. Last Call covers not only the time of the 13 years of Prohibition, but the decades that led up to it and the mismatched groups that collaborated to pass the 18th Amendment, including support from the Klu Klux Klan and the women's suffragette movement. Read this book to get an indepth look at the machinations of one group trying to impose their morality on others.

One of mine, if not my absolute favorite books ever.
