This is a great book, very sad.

Update: I gave it a solid chance, but I turned it back in today. Could NOT get into, found it boring & the voice confusing. I'll gladly try it again...once I find one librarian who absolutely fell in love with it. Such a disappointment from Newbery after loving the last 2 years' picks.
