I have not seen the movie. The book has so many twists and turns that even the ending made me think it was a twist as well. Very engrossing.
What an amazing debut. The heroine is a rogue werewolf, kicked out of her pack as a weak link b/c of her OCD, hording, panic attacks--this chick is a mess. Now a rival pack wants to take over the area and wants her dead. Worse than that? Her old boyfriend is back in town. Loads of action in this one. I eagerly await the sequel.
Not as good as People of the Book, a little depressing, but still a good read.
I loved these fucking books. And I cried at the end. Seriously. Really good. I would like to read them aloud to a child someday. But probably not a very small one, because they're dark and violent. Just the way I like my kid's books. They're also really good fantasy. So unless you are one hundred percent positive that you hate one hundred percent of all fantasy, you will like these. Or if you are offended by fictional religious revisionism. If you are, don't read them. These books, especially the third, are the children's Christian version of Satanic Verses.
