Just re-read this so I can help out in Zoe's class. It's a pretty good story, with lots of ideas that are fun for further consideration. I still am frustrated by the ending, though. I want to know more - how does his community change? what's in store for him and the baby?

I really loved this from local standpoint (her family was one of many who settled in Minnesota), cultural standpoint, as a memoir that tells of the background and hardships of so many of the Hmong.
