The use of "he said" instead of a specific person, and multiple names for the same character were tedious sometimes, but overall it was a decent read.

3.5/5 stars Let me start off by saying I love Meg Cabot. I have loved so many of her previous books. I loved her Mediator series. I loved her Heather Wells series. I loved her Queen of Babbles series. I loved her 1-800-Where R You series. And I loved her adult books. I thought the first book in this series Insatiable was okay. I liked Meena the main character. But the ending was sort of too crazy for me. In Overbite, I sort of had the opposite problem. I actually thought the ending was sort of good. But I had a harder time getting into the rest of the book. Like I said, I liked Meena. She has a very interesting gift (she can tell when people are going to die). I sort of wish that this wasn't a vampire series at all. But that the book focused more on this interesting gift. I love vampire books. But I think the main difference between some others i love (for example Vampire Academy) is that VA is set in a world where there are vampires. But it's a totally different world that is set out for us. In Insatiable and Overbite it seems like it's set in our world. And it just seems so over the top (if that makes sense). I did definitely enjoy a lot of the characters in this book. I like Alaric. I like Meena's brother. I find Lucien (the prince of darkness) intriguing. I will say that I was probably expecting more from the Lucien/Meena pairing in this sequel. Overall, Meg Cabot is still a great writer. But the book was just okay for me.
