Definitely a book for older teens or adults due to the mature language, situations, and topics. I really enjoyed the mystery and the growth the main character undergoes throughout the book. I figured out part of the mystery midway through, but it didn’t bother me as much as that kind of thing often does and I was fascinated to see it all play out. I liked the characters a lot, the revelations, and the exploration of shades of gray in people, mistakes, understanding, forgiveness, love. I really loved Cat in particular, but also Jason, Patrick, and Christian. Really ALL the characters were fascinating--interesting to see their personalities and motivations revealed. Also the different (often crazy) ways people handled issues and things that happened to them and around them. A very compelling read!
