Aside from the Bible, this is my favorite book.

emile zola keeps it the realest. this "people's novel" blows the grapes of wrath out of the water.

It was a little slow at the beginning but really picked up. Great story!

Fantastic book! What I can I say about it - awesome characters, great story, a subject that has me thinking about it (and will likely think about for awhile). I even watched the movie right after I finished it so I could compare. The book, as usual, is far better than the movie! Glad I finally read it so I now know what all of the fuss was about. :-)
