My compliments for Gabaldon at being able to tell the story from so many points of view. As with her earlier works, this book gives an amazing glimpse into different ages and does so in an insanely engaging manner. Chuck full of action, I really enjoyed reading it. Two points of critique: (I) If you haven't read the books about Lord John, the bits told from his perspective can be a bit daunting. It's fairly obvious that there are bits of information you are simply missing. (II) The climax to the Arch Bug storyline was a bit confusing to me. I'll refrain from saying more to keep from spoiling anyone. Happy reading!

I liked this, but it won't be a popular with parents as this year's Go the F*** to Bed.
