This was not one of my favorite books. It's about a girl who is very studious and has pressure from her parents to be the best that she can. She decides to go live with her father at a beach town for the summer and realizes how different she is from all the other teenagers her age and slowly she changes. That's just a small part of it because I don't want to give away a lot. I like all types of books: mystery, science fiction, even these types of teenager girly books. Most of the time actually, I like to read young adult books but this one was just boring for me. I guess it's not very surprising and from the very beginning the book talked about change and I knew at that point that once Auden (the main character) got to spend time with other teenagers, she would change. And she did.
I found this story fascinating; however, I still walked away feeling that she didn't bare all in her descriptions of her relationships with her 2 famous husbands---and she probably did it out of respect for both men. I'm interested in reading Clapton's autobiography now to get his side of the story.
