A bit predictable at certain parts, but overall a fantastic read ( and that's coming from someone who despises love stories).

as an expression in baseball says: ``Quite a hanger.`` I only enjoyed this book because I love baseball, I think Sammy rocks as a player and was interested in Sammy's life.However,this book made me bored for quite a long time.

Interesting, but not as good as her "Not to mention the dog". I think she is on surer ground with lighter subjects, as her humour is so acute. In this book, the characters seem to be 2-dimensional, rather like cardboard cutouts, lacking totally in depth. You just can't seem to get involved in their misfortunes.
