Disappointing: the authors give great description and characterization but don't seem to have much sense of plotting. They have a great, emotional device in the community of abused women, but the plot totally bogs down in descriptive in the middle 3/4 of the book and is wrapped up, without explication, in the final pages. And even though it's a series, a little backstory about the characters' relationships and history wouldn't go amiss. (9)

I book that is still with me a year later. Brilliant. An amazing story.
