The story is a new rendetion of the Odyssey, but it is set in the south during the Civil War. I love it.

A background on the characters which gave rise to the show, but I had seen the show first and was a bit disappointed by the book.

I just can't get into this book. Listening to it on audiobook and halfway through the 2nd cd...out of 5, I believe...I'm ready to chuck it. It's like a police/crime dragnet type show, but with fairies. Seriously the voice actor sounds just like Dan Ackroyd's character's way of talking in Dragnet. Keep expecting to to hear the Dub-dun sound effect and theme song. I really enjoy fantasy, and fairy books in particular but this book just doesn't cut it for me. I'm sure it works for others, but not for me. I rarely allow myself to put a book down w/o completing it...but I just cannot waste any more of my precious time on something I dislike so.
