I've always been a big fan of Sarah Dessen's and though That Summer isn't one of my favorite's, I still find it a nice, quick read. The story of Haven is a story of changes, plain and simple. I think what I like most of all about this book is that I find this story more realistic than your modern YA novel about girls falling in love with boys when they're fifteen. Granted, a good love story always gets me. Haven is a great character. She's quiet and contemplating. It's great to watch her struggle with these HUGE changes that's she's being forced to tackle without so much as a thought from anyone else. This is a book I'd recommend to anyone in need of a refreshing quick read.
