This was the second time that I read the book, and this time I read it out loud. It is Charles De Lint's first book, and although the story is great fun, there were some sections where the character actions and reactions were poorly developed. This was more obvious while reading it out loud rather than when I read it to myself. I still like the book, but it is not one of his better books.
