This one is slightly more lively as the characters are more developed and are coming together in what is clearly to be a series cast with a shared history. Still, the potty humor of the dwarf and the stereotypical sniping between Root and the others, including the upbergeek Foaly, are tediously predictable. I'll finish the series because the library has it and I want to know about it, but wouldn't otherwise bother. (5)
