What a cute book. And the illustrations are darling. A cute read about being good friends!
Good ol', good ol' pirate fun. The birth of a genre that's gotten pretty muddy lately.
superb
I have been re-reading this series and confess that I was a little bit disappointed with the first two as they were not quite as good as I remembered. However this book was still great third time around (27 January 2009). Cole and Pike are on form and the story while convoluted made sense and had a satisfactory ending. There are a lot of dead bodies by the end of the story though.
I am so happy I finally finished the book! It was a good book, I just wished I knew it was part of a series... It had a witch who uses black magic and who later finds out that she is a demon. A road trip to a judgementfor that witch who is traveling with an elf, a pixy, and a vampire. I think its kind of cool that Rachel and Trent start their journey in the kitchen of her church and in the end they are in her same kitchen, but starting a new beginning. There is a lot of action, someone is always trying to kill her or her elf Trent who she is also protecting on this journey. You won't be able to guess what could possibly happen next, a must read... However if you are like me don't start at the ninth book, read the others because there is so much going on that this one book couldn't explain all the past, but just that Rachel and Trent go way back. There is still more to the story, I just hope there is an other book after this; and I hope Rachel and Trent finally find love with each other no matter what, even if she is a demon.
