I'd say this series is a wonderful response to the question, "do you have any more series like Harry Potter?" Though a few items are rather obvious Harry takes offs (2 boys and a girl as main protagonists, one of the characters has twin brothers...), the plot is quite different. It retains it's light character throughout the series. One of my favorite aspects, is that even the most impressive or frightening characters are shown to have very human traits such as insecurities and looking ridiculous at times. The audiobooks have been great fun, and I'm anxiously awaiting the 5th book.
