This isn't going to be a long review since I'm not prone to even comment on a book unless it's earth shattering. Eventhough this book wasn't that, it was extremely well written and had a great plot. I loved Yelena. Valek (I kept forgetting his name :) ) was...different. I was shocked to find out he was in fact 14 years older than the heroine. For YA that's quite riské but I liked it anyway. He was a refreshing character and I did grow to like him a lot. I kept itching for the 'first kiss scene' but when it came along...I wished Snyder would have left the real romance for the second book. I just feel after what Y and V had gone through it was a little unfitting to have the somewhat sappy but classic lovescene in a heap of hay. I was more hoping for the love-hate-grab-shake-kiss thing. They had such infuriating chemistry and it kind of dissappeared there... I'll give the book 4 stars for keeping me to the end but ruining the romance. IDK, maybe it'll get conflicted in the second book and Snyder will save the lovers but at this stage I'm just a teensy bit dissapointed.
