dark and humorous. some sexual elements. overall, quite an interesting book.
My daughter wants us to do a "book club" and this is the book she has chosen. It is such an easy thing to do in order to connect, so I guess I am heading to the library.

LOVED this book!!! It was recommended by a friend and I couldn't put it down.
I read this book in its entirety on a flight between Aruba and St. Lucia when I was 9. A beautifully written book that speaks to the curious child.
** spoiler alert ** Anne's journey of her diary started when she received this gift from her parents on her 13th birthday. She poured out her feelings to her diary because she thought that it was the only thing that she can rely on. The Frank family, the Van Daan family, and Mr.Dussel went into hiding at the Secret Annexe because they did not want to go to the Concentration Camp for Jews. Anne's day-to-day trouble increased as their time in hiding might end soon. She had troubles living with the members at the secret Annexe as their food, clothing, and relationship with each of the members worsen. If you'd like to know how the members of the Secret Annexe continued their life then you should DEFINITELY read this book! Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, is a very inspiring book. As you read the book, it gives you a warm, scared, lonely feeling of how the Jews were leaving back then. As a teenager, I can feel Anne's voice with in me and really imagine how her misfortune times worsen. I recommend this book to everyone, especially adults, so then they could feel how teenagers feel around adults when they ignore teenagers.
