"Voyager" is the third installment of the "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon and was a huge improvement over "Dragonfly in Amber." I think this may actually be my favorite so far. I have never cried so much over a book, but that maybe because I'm just overly emotional right now. "Dragonfly in Amber" left me wanting to writing nasty letters to Gabaldon about how she was a shame to her profession, but "Voyager" has rekindled my interest in the series. So much so, that I'm tempted to go buy the 4th book on my way home so that I don't have to wait to see what happens to Claire and Jamie. I still think that Claire is a bit too ditzy of a female lead for me, but Jamie, Fergus, and now Young Ian never fail to disappoint me. In general I don't care for Gabaldon's female characters, with the exception of Jenny and Brianna. They're all so lusty and stupid. With this being the third book, you can tell Gabaldon's improving but she's still not a wonderful story teller. There are still random facts that are thrown at you with some symbalence of importance that turn out to be trivial. I'm hoping this will improve as the series continues.
