An interesting story of an accidental hero who is sent on a quest. While on this quest he discovers magic is real...as once human animals, witches and curses. This story does a good job integrating timeless tales into a modern day adventure.

This book made me feel things. That deserves atleast 4 stars when that happens. I wont say it sucked me in, though, initially. Jacks narration took some getting used to. And I also wasn't entirely convinced about the "escape" part of the story, but Idid really enjoy the bigger parts. I thought it was a fascinating, beautiful love story between a mother and child.

Great James Patterson book. Well paced and very interesting.
