This was the book-in-common at my school when I was 17 and I read it to pieces, literally. At one point, in college, when I was working in a quote from the title story to a journal entry for a creative writing class, I realized that not only did I have the quote committed to memory, I could recite the next paragraph and the next, all the way through to the end of the story. Tim O'Brien throws down these skillfull layers and prose that seamlessly veers from hard-edged to poetic and I could read it, over and over, forever.
Ok.. Ok.. its a reference book, but it funny and since I have a blog, the ideas were a bit dry up... I needed help. The book will only be interesting to other blog holders and writers.
