Siddharaj Solanki Solanki itibaren Galabada, Sri Lanka
This book is fabulous, especially if you have a penchant for poetry/literature and if you love Oregon fiction (think David James Duncan). He even craftily incorporates some magical realism at times, which I usually dislike. The characters were very real to me but I don't suppose it hurts that I read part of it on the Oregon Coast and spent a substantial amount of time in Astoria a few years ago. Like Megan, I'll have to add this to "books that made me cry in public" (not many, honest!). I don't even remember which part, but I just remember it was written with such honesty and beauty that I couldn't help but get misty. Erin and Marissa, I can't help but think that you will have to love it.
