This book was good. The plot was enthralling. My main concern however is the lack of description, explanation and background story. Most of the finer details were left out. The story was good but not wrapped together well. It mostly just ignored the need for explanations, which to be fair would have been nearly impossible to produce with such a storyline, but it is what kept this book from being great.

An absolute favorite!

This book is great for sequencing. Have the kids name the order that the animals were seen. Have them go on an imaginary journey through their own neighborhood and write what they see.
