I liked this books enough to read it in a week. It has a lot of action and kept me reading. I don't know about it being that long. Maybe it would've been better if it was shorter. The other thing is, I don't really care about what is going to happen next. Unlike Mr Riordan's Percy Jackson series, which I read one after the other, and his new series "The Heroes of Olympus", which I can't wait for the second book to come out(Is it October already?), I just don't care for what is going to happen next in "The Kane Chronicles". I started reading "The Throne of Fire" like four days ago and I'm still in the first 100 pages.
