I really liked this book. I almost gave it five stars, but I thought the author's choice of narrator--someone living on the other side of the world--was a bad one. It worked, I guess, especially in the beginning, but I'm a little skeptical that the narrator would really know all the details he knew. Still, I loved Jean, loved Joe, and will probably read this book again sometime. I would recommend it to anyone over the age of 14.
