It was good, it was hard to put down, but as a mommy the cold murder of babies is hard to read. Still, I was really enjoying the book, it had recaptured some of thrill the earlier books had. The Dowling murder, it seemed like they should have been able to pick up on the truth sooner. The lipstick murders wrapped rather abruptly and perhaps pages could have been used to give that a better wrap instead of what was in the last few chapters. The last few chapters actually brought my rating down a star. It was a cheap "shock", completely unneeded. It was a very forced "let's keep them guessing" that didn't add to the story or bring anything to the experience. Such a shame that the book was almost to the level of the earlier books in the series and ends on such an unpleasant note.

I had never read James Patterson and this was the very first book I read of his. It was a good book to start with. Mr. Patterson has his series of books but I'm not that type that start with a series of books. It was a good book, nothing to complicated to follow. I also think it wasn't as elaborate as other authors. Still the book has its moments that keep us on the edge and in disbelief.
