I love Ian Falconer's illustrations in the New Yorker, and his debut children's book is a perfect marriage of the irreverent and adorable. I can't imagine anyone DISliking this book.

Wow! sooo depressing. But amazing so far.

Granted, it has been a long time since I've read this book, but I used to read it over and over in Middle School. If you like British people and dragons (with a cockatrice thrown in for good measure), it's a good, light read.
