This author doesn't write a hectic paced book but I enjoy the slower speed sometimes. Set in Wales where two Americans (mother and son)come to look for their ancestors. They meet Sarah, a nurse and gifted harp player, who is attracted to the son until she finds that his ancestors are the couple who have been the subject of rumor and speculation for years. And to top it off, they are Mormons!

I personally loved this book. It was very good for the style of writing and the genre that it was aiming after. It was very similar to the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, except this one had more diverse character personalities, which I found to be more enjoyable.

The second instalment of Stephen Fry's memoirs covers the years 20 to 30 starting with Cambridge and ending with cocaine. I couldn’t really get into the first instalment Moab is my washspot, but this book I truly enjoyed. What we don't think about today is that many famous household names such as Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, Ben Elton, Robbie Coltrane and Rowan Atkinson all came out of Cambridge and Oxford during the early 1980's. What started as student theatre and comedy got them to television, the West End and now world-famous celebrity status. Stephen Fry tells the story about those years in a funny and also a frank way. Throughout the book there is also a streak of darkness. Fry's constant battle with not thinking he's good enough and hence overdoing things from time to time. I very much look forward to the next book.
