** spoiler alert ** To say I was disappointed with the end of the book is a total understatement. Don't get me wrong, the book itself was good. I really enjoyed Ari and I connected with her and the other characters. Patrick was awesome, and so was Mom. It's just that when I pick up a novel expecting a love story (based on the summary), I don't like getting slapped in the face with an ending that isn't exactly what I'd consider happy. Through the entire second half of the book, I felt like my heart was breaking in two. And yeah, I cried in a few spots... which makes me even more upset that in the end, Blake didn't make the right choice and Ari had to move on without him. Boys are dumb. But in the end, I guess the most important thing was that Ari grew up. She learned a hard lesson on love and life, and she got through it and made the best out of it. In the end, she got everything she wanted in life, but I would have liked to see her have what she wanted in the love department, too.
