This book was pretty cute. Definitely not one of my favorites by Nicholas Sparks. It was a sweet story, kind of sad, very fast read.
It always seems that David is always in the wrong place or is doing the wrong thing. It seems that every time he turns around he is being corrected for what every he does. He doesn’t understand how what he is doing is wrong. “When David gets in trouble he always says… No! It’s not my fault!” He knocked his mothers end table over when he fell off of a skateboard, but David didn’t mean to! He left for school without his pants, because he just forgot. He could not turn in his homework, because his dog ate it. He ruined his class picture by pulling of funny face, but he couldn’t help it. He also ate the dogs biscuits because he was hungry. He just does not understand how all of these things are wrong, and why he is getting in trouble. They are never his fault. By the end of the book David realizes that he has made a mistake and learns to say I am sorry.
