This is set in Baltimore, with a female PI investigating a case of a missing wife and 3 children. The family involved is an Orthodox Jewish family and the husband has a hard time believing that his wife is gone of her own free will. I don't really care for mystery thriller books with Orthodox Jews as the characters, much as I don't enjoy mystery thriller books set in Israel. But it is OK; plot, writing, timing all work and for someone who is not sensitive to Jews as the characters this would probably be a 3 star read.
