Very interesting and insightful. Has definitely caused me to look at my own handwriting more carefully.
I never had to read this book when I was in high school, so I thought I would finally do it. You have to read this with an open mind and get into the vocabulary of a teenager in the 1940's. Once you get around that, the story of a week in this young man's life is interesting. I understand why it was a banned book, with the language and subject matter, but in today's standards it seems mild by comparison to some of the stuff that's out there now. I like the stream-of-consciousness writing style and felt like I was inside Holden's mind and how he deals with the angst he is experiencing in his young life.
