This is the story of Esther written in Diary form. I found it inspiring and actually believable. The author took great care to maintain historical accuracy and tie to recent findings and experts. I also found the faith of Esther empowering. To be God's woman and take the leaps of faith... by the Grace of God!

For me, this is the perfect snow or rain day read. Reminding me of Anne River Siddons or Elizabeth Berg, this is woman's fiction that rings true and allows you to get lost for a few hours. McFadden's books have me wanting wander down to northwestern New Jesey to see the country side...an enjoyable read.
