first to read a novel by Jodi Picoult; writing style is good: ill fore sure read for the author again

For some reason, this book has stayed in my memory for the last 30+ years. I think it may be the first book I checked out from the library on my own. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a mountain lion. I perfected the roar - ask my sister.

Makes Harry Potter look like a series of books about a teenage wizard.

This book is outstanding. I really enjoyed reading it, it was totally worth it. I would totally re-read it again.

Disturbing, but you'll cheer for this woman and her child held captive for 7 years to try and get out of this "ROOM."

This is a fabulous book! It works well as a read aloud over several classes. It would work in well with a unit on poetry. The book "River of Words" is a biography of William Williams whose poem is used extensively in the book as a model for writing poetry.
