The first 100 pages were a bit slow, but I could not put it down towards the end. Larsson constructs a journalist stand-in for himself--middle aged, Mikael Blomkvist who charms all women. He is asked to help solve the mystery of a woman gone missing 40 years earlier from a small island. With the help of Lisbeth Salander--23 year old expert computer hacker and anti-social--, he digs out the truth, including family secrets of nazism, incest and torture. Salander helps Blomkvist clear his journalistic name by bringing down a businessman he'd been convicted of libeling. She steals millions of the man's money. Some scenes were way too graphic: I had to skip a lot.
