This book is about a young boy who his mom calls him "it". This boy always gets abused by his mom. He wants to try to survive his living. He gets put in a foster home. They try to help him, but the boy is afraid of saying anything. I like this book because it is interesting and sad. People who like realistic books, will like this book.
Good story. A very clever and thoughtful mediation on aging from both a teen and elderly perspective. Although the author certainly took up the typical romantic conceits of love, she ultimately provides a fresh approach to contemplating it -- seeing love as an essential element to creativity, success and life. It took me a long time to finish it but that was only because of time constraints. Every time I picked it up, I was immediately drawn back into its plot. Lovely descriptions.
