It's hard to know what to say about this. Carrie Fisher is such an iconic person, but I had no idea how strange and screwed-up a life she's had. I felt almost like a voyeur reading this book... such intimate details! I do think a good editing would have improved the book. Not to change what she discussed, but to fix up the sentences themselves. Many were not so much fragments as half-thoughts that just trailed off, and I found that distracting.
I'm a big fan of Malcolm Gladwell. He has such an interesting way of looking at the world and his books are intriguing. Especially for non-fiction. Really, I hated to put it down! This book explores the sociology of success, making you consider successful people in a whole new light. It have given me a lot to think about.
Some quotes I like from the book " My brain gets stronger every day because i exercise it. The stronger it gets, the more money I can make" Wealth is a person's ability to survive so many number of days forwards... or if I syopped working today, how long could I survive?
