I really enjoyed this book. Cristofano is a great story teller and kept me interested throughout. It was also an interesting concept to consider--what would I do? Where would my allegiances lie? That said, I must admit I was reading this until about midnight one night, and then gave up two chapters (15-20 pages) from the end. I was certain there was no way he could end the book and leave me feeling satisfied. The next day I couldn't help it and picked the book up to finish it--and it turned out okay. It wasn't the happily ever after ending (which would not have fit), but it worked, and I was satisfied.

this is a great follow up to Where the sidewalk ends.
