This book popped into my head after I finished Octavia Butler's Xenogenesis series, not sure why, but I was sick and so started reading it again. I've been a crazy re-reader this year. 5th read: 5/15/16 4th Read: 3/30/15 3rd Read: 3/24/14 2nd Read: 5/9/13 Original Read: 4/18/12 Original Review: I am so excited that she named the main character after my 10 month old daughter Avery. Ok...that's probably not what happened. Another good book by Maria Snyder, though it's most likely that nothing will ever compare in my mind to Poison Study. I thought it a bit better than the 2nd two Study books and the Glass Series. But that could be in part because I found the world a bit more exciting. (I think I liked the Ixia part of the study books more than the Sitia part). I have no patience, I would like to read the rest of this series now please. :)

I read it in Australia which made me love it more than I would have if I were exposed to it first in the US. This book combines four things I love to read about: Australia, junkies, hippies and sex. I can say with some certainty that there isn't another book out there that combines those four things better. Good work, Helen Garner!
