This is the first graphic novel I've ever read, and it certainly set the bar high. Watchmen was absolutely fascinating; everything was connected and it made me think. I loved the use of the comic within the comic and the silhouette of the kissing couple throughout the book. Watchmen is incredibly complex, and it's easy to see why it's taken so seriously (often used for thesis assignments in universities and colleges) and considered by many to be the Holy Grail of graphic novels. I never intended to read another graphic novel after Watchmen, but I definitely feel the need to read V for Vendetta now.
