So I picked this up thinking it'd be an historical fiction w/ some romance thrown in... nope, is was a romance with some historical fiction thrown in. I do enjoy some romance in a story; I mean, who doesn't like the happily ever after? However, I'm not a romance book reader, for some very good reasons. This book wasn't horribly racy or anything, thank goodness, but I did start to feel like I was reading a soap opera. I'm not quire sure why I finished it, except the historical fiction was fun. So I checked out three others by this author, again expecting a fun historical fiction read, and since I don't have anything else from the library right now, I'm trying to decide whether or not to pick up another one...
