I listened to the first book an loved it, particularly for the narration. This one I read and loved it just as much. Few books, even those I find funny, make me laugh out loud. This one does. I especially like the footnotes, and as a general rule I'm against footnotes in fiction ever since a junior high English project. I'm even writing like Isabel Spellman, now, with her little asides! Although I must admit I figured out what the suspect was up to way before it was revealed to Isabel. That's okay, though, because the book is not worth reading for the mysteries. It's worth reading for the characters.
I liked this. A little hard to follow at times, but overall a neat concept. I'm interested to see what will happen.
Barf.
A cute, fun(ny) read. Clean. Perfect for a lazy, rainy Monday tax-season morning. Looking forward to reading other books by J. Rallison.
It's a great book, some how sad and happy. I like books that make you travel and teach you about culture of other countries. Knowing more about Japan was great.
