I started out thinking this was one of those stupid love stories where this intelligent ambitious girl falls for this handsome ,flirtatious asshole , but no , it proved me wrong , I actually ended up crying . This is a story of how friendship starts and ends , of how you can love someone so much regardless of the differences between you , of the importance of family and the fact that you should never give up on the people you love , you should be patient and love them and comfort them when they blunder and screw up . The language is witty , descriptive and unbelievably vivid , it grabs your attention , makes you put up pictures in your head of every single scene with the most delicate of details , those details and small gestures which are so dear like the smell of the place , the color of the sky on that special day , the way your friend smiles at you and many others . The plot is just ah what can I say , very very well constructed , Nichollas plays on your nerves and heart just like you were the character in the book , he twists the plot , then makes it smooth and predictable then surprises you with an event that you've never expected to happen . This book taught me that things are never what they seem , that you should never leave without saying what you wanted to say , never take people for granted they might not be here the very next day , that life can be hard at times but if you hold on things will get better , I just love this book it's beautiful and sentimental .
