I wasn't going to read this book. Even though there isn't a Marie Sexton book I haven't loved, I just didn't think I would like this. I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction. I want my books to be contemporary. Even though I love cowboys (who doesn't, right?) I want them set in the now, not the then. Even though I like paranormal, again, I want it contemporary. I don't like ghost stories and I really thought there was to much mixed together to enjoy. So this book is everything I thought I would hate. Let this be a lesson! I loved this book!!! It had me totally engaged right from the start. I couldn't put the book down. I loved Aren and Deacon together. I loved the ghost story. I loved the historical/alternate reality. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. I want more from this world. I would love to know more about Simon and Frances and more about Dante. This is a fabulous book! I highly recommend!! 5+ Stars!
